PRESIDENT'S REPORT
- Anthony Fescina, C.D.T. |
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Marilyn King and Patty
Costa for the massive mailing they recently sent to members of LIDLA, giving
an overview of, and explaining Lab Net Dental Lab Systems. For those still
using manual billing, this could be an opportunity to explore the ramifications of installing a system that saves you precious hours of time
every month. For those who already have a system installed, this can be an
opportunity to compare what you have with what is offered. (It is my
understanding that LabNet is an easy and excellent system to use). Terri
Heath, will give a full presentation on October 17, 2001, with ample time,
for questions at presentation end. Please make your reservations early -As
always, your support is greatly appreciated.
Many of you are taking time to call me about your concerns, or to ask
questions. I am always happy to hear from you; it is a privilege to be here
for you. I would like to share a few of the topics that have been the subject
of recent conversations I've had with LIDLA members.
A few calls came regarding our new Denturist, Dr. Ron Castaldo, owner of
Aurum Dental Studio, He would like all members to feel free to call him
direct at 631-277-2566, with questions regarding the Denturist program. He
has written several articles about this very timely subject, is happy to
share his insights, and answer any questions you have.
Another call was from, an owner who needed information regarding a certain
implant procedure, I was able to recommend the LIDLA Directory as a source.
Many LIDLA members list specific areas of expertise, and sure enough the
caller was able to locate another member-owner who could help him, The caller
told me that he was not aware of the valuable information that is listed in
the 2001-2002 Directory, and in sharing this with you, I hope you will think
of using it the next time you encounter a problem or procedure you are not
familiar with.
One Lab-owner called to say he would be moving from Nassau to Queens, He
asked if he could still participate as a member of LIDLA. For future
reference. Anyone who has maintained membership in LIDLA, will not be asked
to leave because of a change of address out of Long Island.
The last call had to do with Medical Insurance. Many Lab owners are
interested in finding out what may be available and how many can offer
suggestions regarding what is now working for you? You will find a brief
questionnaire in the next issue of The Articulator; your response will
determine whether we pursue this further.
LIDLA goals for 2001-2002 are to respond to the needs of its members in
Dental technology. As always, your support and input remain at the core of
our association, and its ability to serve you productively.
For those attending the Congress in Tarrytown in September please remember
to stop by the LIDLA table for any information you may need, or just to say
"Hello". I always look forward to speaking to you in person.
Sincerely,
Anthony Fescina.C.D.T.
