  • Advantages of non-submerged implant system - surgical & restorative.
  • New SLA Surface - offers reduced healing time of 6-8 weeks. Discussion of scientific data.
  • ITI Difference - precision engineered to accommodate wide range of indications with minimum number of parts.
  • Restorative Advantage - less stacking of parts. Abutment locked in place with friction fit 'Morse Taper Design'. Eliminates screw loosening and breakage.
  • Cost Advantage - implant design allows option for cement-retained crown similar to conventional crown & bridge, without the complex it and cost of parts required for submerged implant system.

  • Chairside saving advantage - both surgeon and restorative doctor save approximately one hour. One less surgery for the patient and faster turn around for restoration. Time equals money.

  • Healing time advantage - reduced healing time allows patient to be in final restoration a quarter of the time of a two-stage implant system. FDA clearance for both; 6 weeks and immediate loading of patient.

The session will give attendees opportunity to ask questions fully, enjoy feedback,
and have a complete hands-on opportunity to experience the simplicity and overall precision of the ITI Dental Implant System

Ary Brack, Dec'd

Following our notice in the May newsletter regarding the death of our long time member and friend, Ary Brack, a number of members contacted us with their remembrance of Ary. All we heard from were saddened to hear the sad news, and mentioned what a privilege it was to have worked with him, either as an employee or a client. All said how knowledgeable he was, and how kind

he was in teaching them so much. "He always amazed me with his knowledge and persistence to learn. He had so much energy and was so full of life" was the gist of their remembrance. We thought you would appreciate this addenda to our notice in the May issue of The Articulator.

Paul Guerne dies on May 14

Paul Guerne, a former and long member of LIDLA passed away in Florida on May 14, 2002.He was an all round technician and his wisdom and knowledge of crown and bridge, attachments, removable dentures and steel pad was superior. Tony Fescina, CDT remembers him in the following words "I had the opportunity to work for Paul in early 80's where Roslyn Dental Lab began, For many years after I left Roslyn Dental to start my own business, I would call on Paul from time to time for advice. He always made time to talk and advise me. He was a boss and friend". Heartfelt condolences go to his family from all of us at LIDLA. There are many of us on Long Island who knew you well. Paul, and you will be greatly missed. "No man is an Island; every man's death diminishes me..."

Henry Schein location

We believe that by now you know the way to Schein's HQ. It is on Rte 110 at Melville. From LIE go 110S to last intersection before you would turn into the Hilton. You will see an old White Church on the North corner [Walt Whitman Road, or 'old Rte 110]. Turn right cross 110 and go ahead. This is Duryea Road. You are passing a huge Postal facility. Where it ends, take the driveway on the left into Schein's lot. Coming from Southern State Pkway, take Rte 110N about 6miles. pass a big amusement park on your right; You see the Hilton on your left. Immediately you start to pass the Hilton you will see the sign for Durea Road. it is the first right turn. If you need more help call Tony Fescina [631]4753930.
