How true to life if you think about it

While waiting for my appointment with a new dentist, I noticed his certificate, which bore his full name. I remembered a tall, handsome boy of the same name in my high school class 40 years ago. Upon seeing him, now I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was too old to have been my classmate. After he had examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended the local high school. "Yes," he replied. "When did you graduate?" I asked. He answered, "In 1944." "Why, you were in my class!" I exclaimed. He looked at me closely and asked, "What did you teach?"

Heart Attacks

(A) Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than British or Americans

(B) On the other hand, French eat a lot of
fat and also suffer fewer heart attacks than British or Americans.

(C) Japanese drink very little red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than British or Americans.

(D) Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and also suffer fewer heart attacks than British or Americans

Conclusion: Eat & drink what you like. It's speaking English that kills you!

LIFE

The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.
